  5. This article is interesting but does not give the South African context. There is not much that can be given in terms of facts concerning the conceptions for the female professionals and their male colleagues but an attempt is made to explain them nonetheless.

  6. This study was conducted about the gender diversity of engineering academic staff at the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. It does, however, provide information the top universities in the country concerning the same subject matter. In all universities, the female staff do not exceed a much needed 50% of the academic staff. This needs to change as this is the first view of the diversities in engineering that most students will have.
